quiet house
Yesterday I had a quiet house.
2 kids at school.
2 kids at a play-date. I am normally helping in L's class on Friday's but wasn't yesterday. I ran upstairs to change the laundry... and found Wall * E taking a nap, tucked in very carefully on the top stair.
I grabbed my camera to see what else I could find.
I was stopped in my tracks by Wall * E taking a nap a the top of the stairs. I was struck by how quickly these little reminders of my small children in the home would be gone.

All too soon, it will be so different. I was grateful yesterday morning, for my children. For their smallness. For their presence and their spirits. And grateful for a few hours to enjoy a quiet house to remind me.

I love this! I was just thinking about taking pictures of the random things I find the kids have done aroud the house. I found Kora's Little Mermaid Ariel doll (in human form) with the tail from an Orca she made at preschool taped to it. It's so fun to find evidence of their creativity and play when you haven't been able to be a part of it :).
