week end things

This past weekend we had a great time.
George's parents (and brother Ryan) drove over from Island Park for Lilli's dance recital. She had been inviting them for several months and we are so glad they came. On Saturday we went to Corbin Park in Post Falls for some rock throwing and feet dipping and frisbeeing and picnicing. It was most pleasant.

After a quick nap, it was time for the big event. Costume, make- up, jewels, photos...

a quick dinner from Zip's before we head inside...

and then the show!
Yes it was too long. Yes there were TOO many filler numbers - but the moment my little girl stepped on stage with her beaming smile, I could barely see for the tears. :)

Look at that posture and poise... You can't teach that! She's such a natural. ahhh...

The post party included flowers from parents and grandparents, a stop at the DQ and then home to bed.

On Father's day, we had German pancakes with George and his dad. That was cool to have him here with us. Then we watched a movie. It was a movie I spent about a month making where I interviewed the kids, got some good answers and some funny answers and then added music and photos.
I cried.
George didn't.
So there you go.

Then we had church and after church... mad packing! George's parents took Dexter & Lilli with them!!!! How nice was that?? We took pot roasts over to my parents' house and then the Brunts hit the road with 2 chatty children in tow. THANK YOU!!! (Don't worry - we see them in about a week or so. Maybe.)

Oh and Mercer cut his own hair. With Lilli's kindergarten scissors that say Grace on them. So that was good too.
