Reunion so far...
We started on Wednesday evening with a movie under the stars at aunt Mickey's house. We gathered with sleeping bags and pillows for s'mores and candy to watch Enchanted.
The kids went to bed at 11:00 pm.
Thursday was a day a Mirabeau Point park for hot dog eating contests,

relay races of all varieties,

and dinner and a talent show. Here's Dexter's talent - folding paper airplanes.

Lilli sang a song about a "Little Green Butterfly". She practiced it 3 or 4 times and it was almost the same each time. She did awesome.
And here's some of the great grand children singing "I Am A Child of God" for the finale.

For July 4th, it was out to the lake houses. We had water slides and bounce houses and a taco bar... We also had a little inspirational patriotic program which is very traditional for a 4th of July at the lake house. Then once it was dark - the fireworks over the lake. They shoot them off a barge and hundreds of people get on their boats and sit in the water for the show. We just watch from the lawn. The kids went to bed around 11:00.

Then yesterday, it was at uncle Nolan's house for family pictures, an obstacle course, swimming, joust tournament and BBQ of steak and salmon. I felt like a little kid again. I didn't take any pictures!! Why? Because then I wouldn't play - and I wanted to play!! I will track down some pictures from someone because they went all out. Rough overview of the obstacle course:
1. spin around a baseball bat 7 times
2. carry large bouncy ball with field hockey sticks
3. helmet with cup - fill up the cup under PVC pipe with holes spitting out water
4. under and over saw-horses
5. use a pole with a hook to pick up an inflatable crocodile (this was the hardest thing!)
6. find a golf ball in a pool of bubbles
7. up and down a huge slide
8. army crawl under a net
9. crawl under a trampoline while being squirted with water canons
10. tires
11. slide down huge slip and slide covered in dish soap bubbles
12. gear up in flippers, goggles and life jacket and jump in small boat to paddle across the pool

hilarious and way fun. There was also another movie under the stars but we were pooped.
the kids went to bed at 9:00. They slept in today until 9:00 am!! One more day today... family testimony meeting and program..

that sounds like so much fun! that obstacle course gave me a few ideas - we have a little family reunion ourselves this coming weekend and I am in charge of games. Of course I am all about last minute!!
seriously, your reunion sounded like a great time!
